Hector Benavides, Vice President of Business Development
Hector Benavides has been in the vending industry for over 25 years. He started a vending route while in college, which was sold four years later to focus on his next opportunity. In 1995, Hector joined Hershey’s Chocolate to lead sales in the New Mexico region. Hector spent 11 years with Hershey’s in different positions, including calling on key USG operators as well as Aramark and Sodexo headquarters. In 2005, Hector took an offer from Pepsi to run the Great West Business unit, managing over 105,000 machines and 36 Key Account Managers in 9 states. In 2008, Hector jumped to the technology side and has worked with industry leaders Cantaloupe, USA Technologies and Vagabond.
Currently, he serves as Vice President of Business Development for Vagabond, where he leads commercial strategy in the large market segment. He is a proud father to 4 young adults and he’s still married to his college sweetheart of 25 years!
